14 September 2014 FCC (all- both TL/GN) becomes management contract (Operated by Govia)
December 2014 Joint FCC/Southern (Sevenoaks/Orpington) operated services join management contract
July 26th 2015 TSGN Franchise takes over all other 'Southern' services
July 2015 First 700 class to arrive for testing/training
June 2016 700 class in passenger use.
May 2018 new timetable with 700 class on all peak services
2019 now ???? West Hampstead Power SignalBox scheduled to close, control transferred to Derby EMCC and Three Bridges ROC.
With all these new trains ordered, additional siding space is required capable of accommodating 12 car lengths so redevelopment work at Cricklewood in North London will see long term mothballed sidings being replaced and electrified starting from Xmas 2013. Various photos of the changes below.
Due to open for non revenue use in May 2016, the official revenue use is planned from May 2018 with full class 700 introduction.
July 2015, European Train Control System (ETCS) testing commences between Kentish Town & Elephant and Castle on selected nights between 01:20-04:20 on one line, other line used Bi-Directionally for revenue timetabled services. 313 121 is dedicated test unit
